INOV8 TrailTalon Speed is a lightweight trail running shoe designed for faster-paced training and racing on soft ground and technical terrain. Built for runners who want to maintain speed without sacrificing grip, it performs equally well on muddy trails, wet grass and uneven surfaces.
The outsole features graphene-infused rubber with 6 mm multi-directional lugs, delivering strong traction on soft and slippery terrain while allowing quick ground release to maintain momentum. Inspired by the hoof pattern of a mountain goat, the grip adapts to changing surfaces including roots and rocky trails.
A POWERFLOW PRO midsole provides a responsive and cushioned ride, working together with the BOOMERANG footbed to deliver energy return and comfort over longer distances. The combination helps you run faster while reducing fatigue on demanding terrain.
The breathable air-mesh upper ensures comfort and ventilation, while midfoot and heel overlays provide a secure, locked-in fit. The anatomical shape supports natural foot movement, keeping the heel stable while allowing space in the forefoot for efficiency and control.

For the best fit, measure your foot at home before ordering. It takes 2 minutes.

Stand on the paper in your socks. Wear the type of socks you’d normally wear with this type of shoe.

Make sure your heel is against the wall and distribute weight evenly on your foot.

Ask someone to mark at the end of your longest toe. Repeat for both feet.

Measure the distance in mm. Pick your shoe size based on the length of your longer foot.

Precision Fit — Narrower, snug fit that locks in at the heel and midfoot while widening at the toebox for natural toe splay. Best for narrow feet or runners who prefer a closer, more secure feel for maximum control and agility on technical terrain.

Wide Fit — Roomier toebox with more space for wider feet or extra comfort on longer distances when toes can swell. Provides greater wiggle room while maintaining the secure heel and midfoot lockdown.
For deeper mud and more aggressive grip, you may prefer the Inov8 Mudtalon V2 Mens which is perfect for longer training runs and races over soft, muddy and challenging terrain.
