VJ IRock 4 – Aggressive grip, now with soft anti-slip heel orienteering and trail running shoe
The VJ IRock 4 has been upgraded with a soft anti-slip heel to make sure that the shoe shapes better to the foot and that the foot stays inside of the shoe even during the toughest of performances. The upper’s design has also seen some small tweaks to enhance the fit of the shoe.
The VJ Irock has long been the most aggressive VJ shoe without metal studs for softer conditions. Its specifically designed lug configuration gives optimal grip when it’s slippery but still sheds loose debris that could otherwise become attached. VJ’s signature Butyl rubber completes the outsole giving the IRock the world-famous grip it is known for.
The Schoeller®-Keprotec® upper with aramid fibers offers exceptional durability and protection, while the Fitlock system ensures added security and a personalized fit around the foot arch. Moreover, with its precision fit and unmatched grip, the IRock remains a favourite among orienteers and has proven its versatility in everything from obstacle course races to the toughest technical skyraces.
Designed with performance in mind, this shoe excels in shorter to middle distances on softer terrain. Additionally, it stands out on everything from snowy descents to muddy trails.

Fitlock ensures fit
VJ’s Innovative system designed to improve the fit of the shoe, making it feel like a part of your body. Integrated with the lacing, the Fitlock system tightens the shoe on the inside and under the arch of your foot.
Schoeller Keprotec® upper
Aramid fibres within the fabric makes the shoe amazingly durable and gives excellent protection.
Aggressive grip
The Superior Contact -outsole is produced from VJ own special rubber and ensures grip on all surfaces. Aggressive 6mm lugs provide grip in the toughest of conditions but also allows you to enjoy running on flat areas.

▸ How to measure your foot
For the best fit, measure your foot at home before ordering. It takes 2 minutes.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall.

Put on the same socks you would wear with these shoes.

Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall, foot straight.

Ask someone to mark the tip of your longest toe. Repeat both feet — use the longer measurement.

Measure heel to mark in cm. Use the size chart below to find your size. If between sizes, always go larger.

Grade 1 represents the most precise and narrow fit. Grade 5 has the widest fit.
The lower the number, the narrower the fit — essential for fast technical running where minimal foot movement matters. Higher numbers suit wider feet or those wanting extra comfort, and are often preferred on longer distances as feet tend to swell.
