Features VJ’s legendary butyl rubber Superior Contact outsole, a medium+ last with added toe space for extra balance and comfort, and the Fitlock system that locks your foot securely from the arch. Lightweight and responsive — ideal for longer trail runs, swimrun or obstacle racing. This is the original Ultra — the updated version with a rock plate and improved sole pattern is the VJ Ultra 2.

Moreover, developed with input from elite runners, the VJ Ultra excels in performance for longer distances, as the name implies. However, it is also an excellent option for shorter distances when you want a little extra cushioning and comfort. To further ensure exceptional grip, the Superior Contact outsole features our famous butyl rubber.

Additionally, the last is a medium +, making it suitable for most runners. The added toe space gives you some extra balance and comfort.

▸ How to measure your foot

For the best fit, measure your foot at home before ordering. It takes 2 minutes.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall.

Put on the same socks you would wear with these shoes.

Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall, foot straight.

Ask someone to mark the tip of your longest toe. Repeat both feet — use the longer measurement.

Measure heel to mark in cm. Use the size chart below to find your size. If between sizes, always go larger.

VJ have graded the fit on all shoes from 1 to 5 to help you find the perfect fitting shoe.

Narrow
Wide

Grade 1 represents the most precise and narrow fit. Grade 5 has the widest fit.

The lower the number, the narrower the fit — essential for fast technical running where minimal foot movement matters. Higher numbers suit wider feet or those wanting extra comfort, and are often preferred on longer distances as feet tend to swell.
