The VJ Speedhiker is a waterproof trail running and speedhiking shoe built for day hikes, technical mountain terrain and demanding outdoor conditions. A fusion of a trail running shoe and a hiking boot — athletic, light and totally runnable, yet tough enough for rocky and unpredictable terrain. Features VJ’s legendary butyl rubber Superior Contact outsole with 4mm lugs for exceptional grip in all conditions, a full length rock plate for protection against sharp rocks and sticks, a 100% recycled ripstop upper with Performadry waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry, and the Fitlock system that locks your foot securely from the arch. The lowered heel allows your ankle to move freely for sharp twists and turns on alternating terrain.

VJ Speedhiker – a fusion of a trail running and hiking shoe
The VJ Speedhiker is a versatile and athletic speedhiking shoe, perfectly suited for both day hikes in the forest and faster-paced treks in more demanding conditions. Furthermore, thanks to its thoughtful design and the sole’s rock plate, the Speedhiker provides excellent stability and protection, making it ideal even for longer distances in rocky and technical terrain.
Moreover, the VJ Speedhiker is built on the VJ Ultra 2’s foot-shaped last and sole. This means that, in addition to offering the best grip on the planet, it also delivers the familiar cushioning, responsiveness, and roomy toebox that users have come to love.
As does the Ultra 2, the VJ Speedhiker features aggressive 4mm lugs on the outsole.
To increase comfort and combat the strain on the feet, we’ve built this shoe to be extremely light.
The back of the shoe has been lowered, which allows your ankle to move freely and make those sharp twists and turns in the alternating terrain. The lowered backside also amplifies the “sport shoe feel”, so the only thing standing between you and speedy treks is yourself!

VJ Speedhiker shoe has a Fitlock system for better fit. It feels like part of your body. The system tightens the shoe under your foot. It also protects from hits below.
Rock plate & new sole pattern
Rock plate and redesigned sole pattern, offer more protection, stability and durability. The rock plate increases stability on uneven terrain and reduces the risk of injury.
Fitlock ensures fit
Innovative system designed to improve the fit of the shoe, making it feel like part of your body. Integrated with the lacing, the Fitlock system tightens the shoe on the inside and under the arch of your foot.
Durable Ripstop upper & roomy toebox
The upper is made from 100% recycled Ripstop material, under the upper is our own dynamic Performadry waterproof membrane. This will keep your feet dry. Additionally, VJ Speedhiker features a wider toe box for added comfort.

▸ How to measure your foot
For the best fit, measure your foot at home before ordering. It takes 2 minutes.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall.

Put on the same socks you would wear with these shoes.

Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall, foot straight.

Ask someone to mark the tip of your longest toe. Repeat both feet — use the longer measurement.

Measure heel to mark in cm. Use the size chart below to find your size. If between sizes, always go larger.
